Cynthia and I experienced our first book signing event yesterday. I was very apprehensive about it, fearing the worst – that no one would show up! In addition to those unproductive thoughts, much of the marketing advice out there suggests that a new author should not expect too much from book signings.
I am pleased to report however that although the store was not filled to capacity, we had a very attentive, intimate gathering and an hour later there were more books sold than people attending our presentation. I would say 120% conversion rate is rather telling.
It confirms our knowing that there is an epidemic "need" for soulful information to support individuals who are longing to have more meaning in their life. There may not be a mass "wanting" of transformational assistance but the numbers are growing. Everyone at our gathering last night are committed to raising the bar in their life and for that we are grateful and we know that Living the HeartLife...Letting Go of the Hard Life will be of great support to them in their journey towards freedom and away from limitations.
